Family & Childcare
The Triangle's family and childcare specialty resources include a six-decade-old inclusive preschool built specifically for children with and without developmental disabilities, North Carolina's only AEFE-accredited French immersion school, and a dedicated support network for parents of multiples.
Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center
Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center, in Raleigh, is a NAEYC-accredited, 5-star inclusive preschool serving children ages 2–6 with and without disabilities in the same classrooms, with specialized small-group support built in — a dedicated special-needs inclusion model, not a standard daycare that happens to accept a child with a disability.
L'École (French International School of Raleigh)
L'École (FISR), in Raleigh, describes itself as the only French preschool and French–English bilingual kindergarten and elementary school in the state, accredited since 2024 by the French Ministry of Education and AEFE (the French Agency for the Teaching of French Abroad) — an official foreign-government accreditation, not a self-styled “immersion” label.
Triangle Parents of Multiples
Triangle Parents of Multiples is a long-running, dedicated support and playgroup network specifically for families raising twins, triplets, and other multiples across the Triangle — a level of specialization a general new-parent group doesn't offer.
