For its first two years, Nevada's 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline was answered by a single Reno-based call center; the state has since signed a $49.7 million contract with Carelon Behavioral Health that opened a dedicated Southern Nevada call center so the Las Vegas metro's 24/7 call, text, and chat volume can be answered locally.
