Compare Tampa Neighborhoods
Pick two or three places from across the Tampa Bay area and see them side by side — home values, commute, transit, flood risk, and landmarks — instead of reading three separate guides. Sarasota and Manatee County sit in their own separate metro area but share the same Nielsen media market (and this same site's coverage) with Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater.
Home values: as published on each place's own guide — most from Zillow's Home Value Index (a metro-wide typical-value estimate, not an appraisal of any specific property), several from Redfin's or Homes.com's median sale price where that's the figure we had, and Clearwater Beach shows no figure since no dedicated index exists for that market distinct from the broader city of Clearwater. As-of dates and data sources vary by place because each guide's own research does — see that place's guide for the full citation. Commute: typical drive time to that place's relevant downtown reference (Downtown Tampa for Hillsborough County places, Downtown St. Petersburg for Pinellas County places, Downtown Sarasota for Sarasota/Manatee places) via primary routes outside peak traffic; expect longer at rush hour or in season. Flood & storm risk: a general exposure category based on documented past events and published flood-zone data, not a parcel-specific assessment — always check FEMA flood zone maps and the relevant county's evacuation-zone lookup tool for a specific address. See our Tampa property tax guide for the county-by-county breakdown.
