That RTP-adjacent location has made Morrisville one of the most ethnically diverse towns in the Triangle -- 46.24% of residents identified as Asian in the 2020 census, enough that the town is sometimes nicknamed "Little India" -- driven largely by the tech and biotech jobs concentrated nearby. Lenovo's North America operational headquarters is based in Morrisville, alongside Oracle and numerous clinical-trial and biotech companies (Wikipedia).

The town is also in the middle of a real physical transformation: construction began in September 2025 on a 25-acre high-density town center, with the first phase planned to open in 2027 -- alongside a new Morrisville High School opening the same year (see Schools, below).
