Houston Spaceport (Ellington Field)

Located at Ellington Airport, Houston Spaceport received its FAA launch site license on June 30, 2015, making it the 10th commercial spaceport in the United States to be federally licensed for launch and landing of suborbital, reusable vehicles.

National Historic Landmark (designated 1985)

Christopher C. Kraft Jr. Mission Control Center

The Apollo-era Mission Operations Control Room (MOCR 2) inside NASA's Johnson Space Center — the room that ran Apollo 11's Moon landing — was designated a National Historic Landmark on October 3, 1985, and was restored to its 1969 appearance for public viewing in 2019.
